Jazz up your black coat!

It’s that one coat we all have: oversized, warm and plain black. While an advantage of wearing black is the fact that it goes with everything - it can get a bit boring. But you can turn any outfit featuring a basic black coat into something stylish and a bit more interesting. 

To keep your winter look fresh and stylish - I use the following tips: I like to go for a long coat. A maxi length coat looks elegant even with simple or ripped jeans or chunky boots.

A faux fur collar adds a touch of luxury to your black coat. It can be a matching black one or a coloured one - I love this one in burgundy:

Coloured footwear is the perfect complement to a muted black coat – go for a bright suede ankle boot:

If your coat can't do the talking, get noticed with a pop of colour in your black outfit. A printed scarf or a bag in a bold colour will look good with your black coat and will spice your look up. I went for this bright pink crossover bag but other colours will work just as well.

To add instant style to your look, you can pair your black coat with cool hats. Try fedora or a beret.
