Top outfits of 2020

2020 - the year that changed everything. Our attitude toward our health, economy, work and travel. I believe that when our sense of identity evolves, so do the clothes we use to express that sense.

Looking back on 2020, I wanted to gather my favourite outfits of the year. I know that for most of the world it was a year that was mostly spent indoors/ at home, but we were so lucky that apart from travelling abroad and going to parties and gatherings we could lead an almost normal life. With the exception of a few weeks in March-April, I got dressed and went to work as usual. I have to admit that those weeks were the worst. Emotionally and style-wise. When it was enough just to pick up yesterday’s sweats off the floor. The pair of shoes or coat that was so important a month ago - became meaningless.

Eventually we got used to this new lifestyle, we pulled ourselves together and called this the new normal. Even I went to work normally and got dressed as usual, I see that my style shows my need for comfort and security. Elastic waists became my best friends.

The thing that tells me the most about my relationship to clothes this year is that I do not have as many outfit photos. Before the pandemic, I liked to shoot my outfit and post it. Now, it just didn’t seem to interest or inspire me.
