Winter to spring transitional coat

Spring is definitely coming! Even if the cold wind is blowing and there is still snow on the hills, the sun is shining, and this is promising!

I know that my fellow fashionistas (I am so funny 😊) are already marching in t-shirts and ballerinas in the cities a bit south of me, but this is  Norway, and I am happy if I can change my winter coat to a lighter spring jacket.

So, I am very excited to pull on my new coats and pose in them on the terrace. The wind is blowing my hair into my face but I don’t give up! The two coats I prepared are both black (what a surprise) and belted. Just not ready for lighter colors yet. Keep in mind that these spring outfits are for cold climates. The two coats are very similar, with belts and bigger lapels. The first one is thicker and longer, the second one is thinner and shorter.

I am obsessed with this long, belted coat. It has a thicker fabric, perfect for colder spring days. You can wear it opened, looking effortlessly chic, or belted, which is very flattering for the figure. It is simple and minimalistic, but the length gives it an elegant touch and it keeps me warm when it is still chilly outside.

It is a versatile piece, you can dress it up with heels, or dress it down with flats. I wear my ankle boots a lot these days, because I want to make the most of them, while this weather lasts. I like to wear this coat with brogues, and it will be similarly cool with trainers, too. I can wear it with flares also, maybe that is the most flattering and chic look.

The second coat is even more spring appropiate, can take me through these early spring days. It is not so elongating than the first one but it is lighter and cinched with a belt can be cute and feminin.

I am so done with my wintercoat! I will wear this spring coat with a raw hem denim and ankle boots or with flares. I should have tried it with black or white trainers, too - for a more casual and cool look. It surprises me that flares make my legs look thinner... Good to know! 😊
